Putting a Customer on a Package
A customer can't add websites until they're on a package. You can choose one when you add the customer, or add one later using the steps below.
A customer can have more than one package. That's handy if they want a separate package for a second business. They can have as many hosting packages as they like, but only one reseller package.
Step 1: open the customer's Packages tab
- Click Customers in the left-hand menu.
- Click the customer's name.
- Click the Packages tab.
Step 2: subscribe them
- Click Subscribe package.
- Click the Package list and choose a package. Each one shows how many websites it allows.
- Click Subscribe.
Step 3: check it
The new package appears as a card on the Packages tab. Each card shows its Subscription ID and bars for websites, disk space, bandwidth, email and databases, so you can see how much has been used at a glance.
What changes for the customer
If a customer has more than one package, a package picker appears at the top of the Add website form, for example "Starter (0 of 2 websites used)". They choose which package each new website goes on.
Troubleshooting
- The package you want isn't in the list. Check that it exists under Settings → Packages. If it doesn't, create it.
- You meant to change their package, not add another one. Use Upgrade / Downgrade instead. That keeps their websites where they are.
